Early dinner with the hub and mum.

Going for Peranakan, the food that I grew up eating. 😉

Exactly the same table cloth like their catering line.

Chilli Api is their catering line.

Soursop drink, very refreshing 😋

Beef rendang, very unlike the usual rendang, the gravy is too yellowish and watery..

Chap chye – a bit too bland

Sambal sotong with petai.. I still don't have the courage the try the petai, so smelly lol

Duck soup with preserved vege.. Level of sourish could be enhanced.

Stuffed fish with chilli.. The taste was far from the one my grandma used to cook. Really miss her cooking.

Sambal prawns, not bad. Actually wanted to eat the Assam prawns but the hub ordered the wrong prawns. That's why we ended up with two Sambal dishes.

The portion of the dishes are really quite small.

Wasn't quite enough so we added extra order. Kueh Pie Tee and Poh Piah.

The Kueh Pie Tee is good. A bit ex though, 6 pieces for $9.

And the Poh Piah.. Ee not nice at all. The skin is so spongy. Really regretted ordering this.

Overall, thought the meal wasn't that good.

Really miss the peranakan food in penang and malacca 😁
