KL Bound – Day 3

Good morning Sunshine! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

It's a lovely morning here in KL today. Hope the weather will stay good for the rest of today. Somehow I felt the weather here is not as warm as Sg.

Woke up very early as usual. Swiped my hp to check out the updates and I actually dozed off.

It was almost 10am when I woke up. Kancheong spider in action!

Quickly freshen up and dashed down for my breakfast for 1 as it closes at 10.30am.

Phew..luckily they haven't clear up yet. I visited some hotels previously, they said breakfast is served till 10.30am. We went at 10.05am and they said they are clearing up already, last 30mins is for them to clear up and they will close at 10.30am sharp. Misrepresentation lor.

Okay.. Back to the breakfast for 1. The booking is only for 1 pax so I'm actually an illegal resident lah haha.. So diff lah, they give 2 towels anyway. My hubs doesn't eat breakfast so I benefit lor. ๐Ÿ˜†

Breakfast is my most important meal of the day. Cos cannot start my engine without it lah ๐Ÿ˜†

If I wake up late, close to brunch or lunch time, I still somehow need to make myself at least a cup of coffee with some biscuits before the next meal. If not, I feel empty, haha no lah, joking. ๐Ÿ˜†

Still so late already, okay lah. Just eat a little bit will do.

Here's my humble breakfast. All in my tummy liow ๐Ÿ˜‹

My luggage is almost full already, so I think I'll probably do more window shopping today.

Furthermore, with the hubs ๐Ÿ‘€ me today, I will have to control myself anyway. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Late lunch!!

We passed by KyoChon when we were in BKK but didn't had the chance to try it.

Was super happy when we chance upon it here. ๐Ÿ˜„

And why is KyoChon being voted as No. 1 South Korea fried chicken?

It's because of their philosophy.

We ordered from this Original soy series.. Regular – 8 pieces to share.

And I opted for the Salsal wrap from the Salsal series. Boneless chicken breast, so it's super friendly for me.

We waited for around 10 mins for our food to be served.

Not as long as 15-20mins like what they have pre-empted us.

Kimchi Fried Rice – I'm only good for a mouthful, too spicy to my liking ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Looks really crispy!

It was indeed very good. Probably the best fried korean chicken wings I've tasted to date! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

It was drizzling as we wanted to leave Pavilion.

Since we wanted to take it easy today, and didn't want to be charged at the mercy of the taxi driver under this kind of weather condition, we decided to head back to Pavilion and somewhere to chillax.

Settled down at this Italiano cafe.

Interesting plate they have.

Cafe Latte for me and Cappuccino for the Hubs.

Actually they have 50 Italian ways of drinking coffee.

Not an adventurous person so ordered back my good old latte lol โ˜•๏ธโœŒ๐Ÿป๏ธ

Close up on the pizza.. It was pretty hard. Would have been perfect if the pizza base is softer ๐Ÿ˜‹

We tried to eat with style since they provided fork and knife for us.

But…it was simply too hard to eat in demure. Don't care, use hand ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Someone simply doesn't know to look at the cam despite XXX no of reminders ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜†

Mum's favourite drink to quench our thirst.

All thanks to @surerain's recommendation, we decided to settle our dinner at Kim Lian Kee.

Went to its original stall for a more nostalgic feel.

They have another outlet, with air-conditioned just at the opposite side of the junction.

Our dishes were served within minutes after we placed our order. Talk about efficiency ๐Ÿ˜„

Steamed squid – love it, not too overcooked, simply perfect. Very fresh and goes really well with the garlic and spring onions. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

็œ‹ๅˆฐๅ•ฆๅ•ฆไธ€ๅฎšไธๆ”พ่ฟ‡๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

Wanted to order ไธŠๆฑคๅ•ฆๅ•ฆ, thought it will go better with the black hokkien mee, but the hubs prefer this instead – ้‡‘้ฆ™ๅ•ฆๅ•ฆ.

A bit too salty to my liking.

Next up is the Trio steamed egg.

Saw quite a number of tables eating this dish so decided to order it.

Glad we didn't make the wrong choice.

Generous servings of salted egg and century egg. Love the texture of the steamed egg, so smooth.

The gravy is a bit too salty though, just drained it and eat the eggs will do. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Okay.. Time for the black hokkien mee.

Only two of us so didn't manage to order the ๆœˆๅ…‰Hor Fun which is known to be good also? Anyone tried that before?

For this black hokkien mee, though can really taste the Wok Hei (stir fried with high heat over an open flame), thought it is a bit too salty? Actually I prefer the one we had at WAH at Jalan Alor.

For those who loves pork lard, you will probably enjoy this. ๐Ÿ˜„

For me, I was eating with extra caution cos I am super scared of the feeling of oil oozing out if I accidentally munched on a piece of lard, yucks lol ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
