Mum's 60th Birthday Celebration – It's a Peranakan Affair

Check out my mum's kebaya cake. Gifted by my cousin. Intricate details there..

The beaded shoes is labelled with my mum's name and the beaded part is actually edible.

It's even made in her shoe size which I can fit into too hee..

With my grandma who's a true blue Nyonya.

She married a Peranakan Baba so that makes my mum 100% Peranakan Nyonya too.

I'm only 50% Nyonya 😆

That's why my Grandma insisted me to wear a Kebaya as my tea dress during my customary wedding.

All thanks to my bro and SIL who helped with all the arrangement and coordination for this party.

Very glad that many of them were very sporting and came dressed in the theme.

See… Some relatives came dressed in the theme as well. ✌🏻️

With my niece Lina who was the only one who's full dressed in a Nyonya outfit, most of us missed out details like dangling earrings & big necklace 😁

She deserved a 💯! 👍🏻

My grandma has shrunk so much over these four years.

Love the bun. I also requested for something like this but the hair stylist styled differently, probably my hair was too short to make a bun then.
