Not a great start to my November

Just when I was on the road to recovery, something bad hit me again.

Went back to the doc for the 3rd time in 5 days as I have some red spots on my hands.

Just wanna make sure if they are triggered by the medicines that I've took.

To my dismay, the Doc affirmed that I've contracted HFMD.

The doc wasn't even able to explain how I kena this when I was not in contact with any kids.

Guess I must have touched some contaminated spot? Maybe at the clinic? Haiz..

Read through some write up on HFMD as I never really pay attention to it in the past.

Thought I'll share some information here so all of you can also take care and just be vigilant.

An infected person may spread the viruses that cause hand, foot, and mouth disease to another person through:

* Close personal contact
* airborne (through sneezing or coughing)
* contact with faeces, contaminated objects or surfaces

For e.g. If we touch a doorknob which has the viruses on it and then we touch our mouth, rub our eyes or nose then we may get infected.

Generally, a person with HFMD is most contagious during the first week of illness.

Some people, especially adults, may not develop any symptoms, but they can still spread the virus to others.

This is why people should always try to maintain good hygiene (e.g. handwashing) so they can minimize their chance of spreading or getting infections.

So everyone, so try to wash your hand thoroughly as often as you can ok.

Better be safe than sorry. I'm a living example. 😔
